An order to the amount of 12-15 million DKK and access to a market of 1.3 billion people.

Those are the tangible figures which CEO Jens Ladegaard, founder of the training company LADEGAARD A/S, can rejoice at today when he signs the agreement on export of Danish courses and learning methods to the Indian market with the Indian group Vinsys IT Services (I) Pvt. Ltd.

The order means that Vinsys buy knowledge about how to develop and educate employees, and at the same time the Indian group will implement the Danish systems in India, Shanghai and Dubai. To begin with the Indians are investing in the Danish business development system in translation. In the long term the idea is to develop the systems for new export markets, says CEO Jens Ladegaard.

“We see great opportunities in this order. India has a high level of education and a big export of know-how especially in the IT area. But they do not have the same tradition for learning and development of competencies as we have. We see it as the beginning of a bigger co-operation – also in relation to our Danish customers who work internationally.”

People to people

LADEGAARD A/S has specialized in a so-called Blended Learning learning system, where teaching is based on the internet and audio visual material and takes place as practical training in the company especially in sales and leadership.

“Our Indian partner says that they do not work with “business to business” but with “people to people”. To me that says it very precisely,” says Jens Ladegaard.

The contact with Vinsys was arranged at the request of Vinsys, and Jens Ladegaard sees the partnership agreement as the first step into the BRIC markets: Brazil, India, Russia and China.

According to Jens Ladegaard Niels Ahlmann-Ohlsen has been the prime mover in the negotiations. He is best known as a Conservative Member of Parliament 1981-98, but as a businessman he has known India for many years. Today he works as an international developer with LADEGAARD A/S.
